Compliant Information Security, Inc. was founded in 2006 by our principals, both
exceptional individuals with over 50 years of combined experience across many Information
Technology disciplines, particularly those related to IBM mainframe systems (XA,
ESA, OS/390, z/OS, RACF), distributed processing and Enterprise security. They are
recognized Subject Matter Experts in their field and have had significant achievements
in their careers both as employees and consultants to some of the world's largest
corporations. These well known, multi-national companies are included in the FORTUNE
100 and the EUROPE TOP 50 lists and span an impressive set of industries including:

- Airlines
- Aerospace
- Retail
These co-founders realized they were dealing with the same issues and fixing the
same types of security exposures, regardless of which industry or company they were
in. The common denominator was the MAINFRAME operating system, an area often overlooked
when it comes to regulatory compliance. The systems may outwardly appear secure,
but if the underlying layers are not securely locked down, there may be severe vulnerabilities
not even realized until sensitive data is compromised or stolen. Standard operating
system audits may fall short in discovering these vulnerabilities.
What makes these Subject Matter Experts stand out is their
ability to drill down into the most critical areas of the operating system, assess
the risk, and then mitigate the risk.

Co-founder - Denise Alexander
Denise has worked as a Senior Technical Specialist, Senior Technical Consultant
and Project Manager on projects throughout the UK and USA and is a recognized subject matter expert in the field of information security.
Originally employed as a graduate trainee MVS Systems Programmer at a Scottish Bank
in London, UK, in the late 1980's, Denise became a Senior Technical Consultant in
1994 specializing primarily in RACF and Enterprise Security-related topics. Denise
has participated in many security related conversion, migration and merger projects
for large-scale multi-national organizations primarily in the Banking, Insurance
and Utility Industries.
In 1998, Denise became a US Resident and provided consultancy services for Y2K conversion
projects in the financial sector, providing significant expertise in Quality Assurance
and Systems Testing for both Mainframe and Distributed Platforms. Since 2000 Denise
has worked as a Senior Technical Consultant and Project Manager in the financial
sector specializing in Mainframe Security Assessment and Remediation Projects, Single
Signon Solutions, and Identity and Access Management projects.
Denise holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's degree in Physics,
both from London University, UK.
Co-founder - Penny F. Stoute
Penny has worked as a Senior Systems Programmer, Senior Technical Consultant and
Project Manager on projects throughout the USA and is a recognized subject matter
expert in the area of data and system security and integrity.
Originally employed as an MVS Systems Programmer trainee in Miami, Florida, in the
late 1970's, Penny became a Senior Systems Programmer in 1983, with responsibilities
for installation and maintenance of the MVS operating system and over 200 associated
software products. In the mid-1980's and for the next 15 years at a large telecommunications
company in the US, Penny added a RACF and system security specialty to her system
programming skills.
In the late 1990's, Penny began providing consultancy services. She participated
in Y2K conversion projects for a leading Aerospace company. As a member of IBM Global
Services teams she performed complex security migrations for large-scale multinational
corporations in both the Insurance and Telecommunications Industries, and is currently
working in the area of mainframe security remediation in the Banking Industry. As
a Senior Technical Consultant and Project Manager she has had significant achievements
in meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
In her career, Penny has been accountable for many highly complex projects and has
provided significant expertise and technical leadership to all of her endeavours.
Penny holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Florida State University.
